What a poor summer its been weather wise. I hope the weather is perfect for your wedding day but if its not don't despair. Preparation is the key. And in Britain being prepared for bad weather is always a good idea.
Umbrella's are a must to have on hand to get yourselves to the venue.
If its mainly showers you should be able to nip outside inbetween to have photos taken. White umbrellas can look very romantic in wedding photos and make a good prop too.
Most venues will have an alternative venue for the drinks reception and photos if the gardens or terrace cannot be used due to the weather. However it is always a good idea to have a wet weather plan prepared beforehand so you don't worry about what the weather is doing on the morning of your wedding while you're getting ready.
What if your venue floods? Its always a good idea to have wedding insurance in case this happens. The venue would be responsible so find out if they will find you an alternative venue.
Whatever the weather your wedding day will still be wonderful as its all about you getting married and celebrating with your friends and no amount of wind or rain should prevent that from happening.
